She was born with a life-threatening illness. No one thought she would survive. Following her miraculous recovery, her parents registered her new birthdate on 26th February 1982.
Later, Song’s parents divorced, and she was raised solely by her mother, relocating to the Gangnam, Seoul. Song began figure skating in elementary school but quit the sport in the 8th grade.
At the age of fourteen, she made her debut in the glamour industry, modeling for a school uniform company. Her beautiful appearance helped her to grab a role in her debut television drama, First Love.
