Council Bluffs, Iowa native Max Duggan was born as Maxwell on 12th March 2001 to Jim Duggan and Deb Duggan. He is twenty-two years old.
His father, Jim, was a quarterback at the University of South Dakota. Later in his career, he worked as a high school teacher and football coach at Lewis Central Community School, where he coached his son.
Jim remembers Max would get mad at him in youth football because when he was placed on the less-talented team, trying to make Max earn a spot by himself. By the time he got to high school, he rocked the football.
Further, Max’s mother is a Sr HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition Mutual of Omaha. Before, she served at American National Bank and First National Bank of Omaha. As a matter of fact, Deb was a hurdler at the University of South Dakota, where she is recognized in the school’s Hall of Fame.

High School
Max Duggan enrolled at Lewis Central High School, where he played basketball, football, and baseball, as well as ran track. However, later he excelled in football and was named Iowa Gatorade High School Player of the Year in 2018.
Over scholarships from Iowa, Iowa State, Penn State, Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Notre Dame, Max chooses Texas Christian University for his college football career.
College Career
Max made his freshman debut in the Frogs’ 2019 season opener in a 39-7 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He concluded the season with 2,077 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Max’s sophomore season ended short with only 10 games recording 1,795 yards and 10 touchdowns passing. However, he was named the first TCU quarterback to lead the team in rushing since Gil Bartosh in 1950.
As a junior, he faced severe injuries, broken bones, and torn tendons in one of his feet. That season he had 2,048 yards and 16 touchdowns.
As a senior, he concluded the season with 3,698 yards and 32 touchdowns.
He has won the Davey O’Brien Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Second-team All-American, and First-team All-Big 12: all in 2022.
