Grant, Florida native Billy Horschel was born on 7th December 1986. His parents: his mother, Kathy, was a housemaker, while his father, Billy Horschel Sr., was a foreman for a construction firm.
Billy was interested in golf from his early days. His father introduced him to golf. Besides, he also played baseball, and his father taught him. He got his athletic toughness basically due to his father.
He studied at Bayside High School. After graduation, Billy enrolled at the University of Florida, Gainesville, accepting an athletic scholarship. Buddy Alexander coached him. His collegiate career is decorated with 4X All-American and 2X Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
